I love rye whiskeys, especially single barrels. Whistlepig is sure to deliver big flavor!

My first sip of Knob Creek, I wasn't a fan. I was a college student who didn't know any better. I'm going to have to track down this rye offering!

I've heard of Uncle Nearest and read up on him a little. Seems he taught a few of the early, now household name distillers how to make whiskey. A fitting tribute that is long overdue.

Bulleit was my first bourbon to really fall for, to help me decide that I'm a bourbon drinker. Their rye offering was the next. I have to say that the 12 year rye is like falling for it all over again!

Jack Daniels gets a bad rap for being just an an ordinary run of the mill whiskey. Honey aside, Jack Daniels has some special offerings, especially their single barrel varieties.

25 Days of Whiskey

Last year for Christmas, I started to look at whiskey Advent calendars. They're expensive. Sure it would be nice to try some new whiskies each day that I hadn't been able to try before, but then, I realized I could do my own Advent calendar with my own stock, without spending a lot of extra money!
