Bulleit Bourbon - The Whiskey Roundup

Bulleit Bourbon was my first real whiskey crush. Bulleit is super versatile, and with the six offerings they now offer, including ryes, it can meet your needs for any drink whether it be neat, rocks, or in a cocktail. So, it only made

sense to feature Bulleit in the Whiskey Roundup.

Bulleit Rye is my favorite rye out there. It's so smooth and drinkable. I have found myself wondering where the bottle went, so I have to be careful.

I was so damn excited to get my hands on a bottle of Bulleit 12 Year Rye when it came out. It did not last long it was so good. Bulleit keeps on surprising me with new offerings.

My favorite cocktail and Bulleit. When was the last time you had a Bulleit Old Fashioned? It's pretty amazing!

Whiskey and writing, especially Bulleit bourbon and writing. They seem to go together maybe better than coffee and writing. I have a full week of writing planned out, so I'll have to give it a try.

Small Batch Whiskey - The Whiskey Roundup

Small batch whiskey is one of the greatest ways to test a whiskey distillery's abilities. Finding a new recipe that will make a great whiskey is a true craft vs staying true to the original, never trying anything

new. That's not to say that a whiskey distillery shouldn't have a flagship label, an old stand by, but what a distillery should be able to do is it to be constantly experimenting.

If the folks at Dingle Distillery only knew what 2020 had in store for us all.  Either way, this wash should yield some pretty amazing stuff in a few years. How many "2020" batches do you think we'll be seeing in the next 5 to 10 years?

Rebell Yell is one of the bourbons that I think gets shit on for no reason. I think even their standard whiskey is pretty good. Their small batch offerings are pretty good too. I have not seen their rye, but will be looking for it.

I think the that Templeton Rye is made in Iowa should tell us that good whiskey can be made just about anywhere. I'm a big fan of the small batch ryes lately.

This is a super cool look at the inner operations of a distillery. I love the steam rising out of the still. I can't wait to see what this makes in just a few years.

Current Whiskey Inventory

I don't know about you, but I like to keep track of my current whiskey inventory. I get some flack for the amount that I have on hand, and I want to make sure I don't double up on anything. It's also a good way to keep track of whether you have tried something or not.

What is in your current whiskey inventory?

Whiskey Roundup 02/16/20 to 02/22/20

Whiskey RoundupEvery Saturday I go through Twitter with #whiskey and roundup my favorite whiskey articles! These are may favorites for this week

I like most cocktails, but this is one I can definitely get behind. This combines two of may favorite things, rye whiskey and coffee!

This wintery cocktail is perfect for the winter months, when the winter colds can get you down. In the last few years I have become a huge believer in the magical qualities of a hot toddy.

I've been looking to grow my whiskey library lately. This one will be going on the list of books to be looking for!

I think what caught my eye scrolling through was the word "reserve." Do you typically find that  "reserve whiskeys" are better, more top shelf quality, or do you think it is sometimes more of a marketing trick?

Whiskey Roundup 11/03/19 to 11/09/19

Whiskey RoundupEvery Saturday I go through Twitter with #whiskey and roundup my favorite whiskey articles! These are may favorites for this week!

I love this. A daughter, promoting her dad's whiskey and telling you where to get it!

It's not my go to, but sometimes when I slow down long enough, I do enjoy to sit down for a nice peated whiskey.

I like this lineup. I'm going to have to go out and find it!

There's something comforting about consistency.

I like a hotel that promotes their whiskey menu!

I had the same thought. Still need to give it a try!
