I got this same bottle for my birthday. I had always heard of the virtues of Japanese whiskey, but had never gone searching for it. Let me say, that it lives up to the hype!

The Sexton has become my favorite Irish whiskey. He's right, the bottle is pretty damn cool. What's even cooler is that their master distiller is a woman in a veritable boys club.

I always like a good Old Fashioned. I had one in Brooklyn a few years ago that was maple infused. This time of year, the cranberry flavor would be great!
