Whiskey Roundup 04/05/20 to 04/11/20

Whiskey Roundup
Whiskey Roundup
Every Saturday I go through Twitter with #whiskey and roundup my favorite whiskey articles! This is the Whiskey Roundup!

I have a preference for dogs. There's something about the idea of a boy and his dog going on adventures together. That said, any animal who hangs out at a distillery all day long, is a friend of mine! It's also nice to see another distillery lending their stills to the pandemic cause and making hand sanitizer to help everyone out!

I love finding new whiskey reviews. It helps me find new whiskeys to hunt down. I typically like whiskeys aged in wine casks, so this one should be right up my alley.

I can't think of a better substitute for vanilla than whiskey.. The natural vanilla flavors in most whiskeys tend to mix well with baking. But the question remains, how much whiskey should you put in?
For some reason Texas whiskey is polarizing. People tend to love it or hate it. I don't really understand it. Personally, I love it. Maybe I'm biased being a Texan. Either way, it's always great to see any Texas Whiskey win an award! Congratulations to Milam and Greene Whiskey on your awards for Ben Milam Whiskey Small Batch Bourbon!

I have only seen New Riff offerings in pictures in whiskey groups. This is another one that seems polarizing. I have yet to see it in a store here in Houston. When I get the chance, I will definitely be trying it out!
